The PS2 works fine otherwise, but all my attempts to softmod it have been in vain.
I've used various methods such as this youtube tutorial and the FHDB guide on the sidebar.
Nothing worked with the 40gb hdd, and I am just coming off of having attempted to softmod with a compatible Maxtor 250gb hdd, with no success as well.

Could the Network Adapter possibly be broken? Or am I missing a step or doing something incorrectly?
