Pack N Play Napper Instructions
WHAT WE LOVE:
-Easy to set up. Don't even need instructions, because it's all designed so intuitively.
-Easy to take down and pack up for travel.
-Well-made and sturdy, and the mattress fits snugly in there on both levels, so it's lies flat and leaves no worrisome gaps.
-Has a napper and then 2 stages for the full mattress, so it grows with your baby.
-The piece that flips from being a napper to a changing station is very convenient. Our newborn likes the napper, and the changing station is very convenient to have right there in the pack n play.
-You can buy mattress sheets for the pack n play mattress, which is appreciated.
-The mattress is easy to clean even without sheets.
-This is really like an all-in-one unit that you're baby can sleep in, play in, and get changed on. You can easily be fine without a crib as long as you have a pack n play, and I know people who've done that very happily.
WHAT WE DISLIKE
-The napper/changing station leans to the left. I've adjusted how it all snaps together and onto the pack n play, it doesn't matter. Either I got a lemon, or it's a design flaw. That means when my son is in the napper, he rolls to the left, which is obviously something that we don't like. In the changing station, he also rolls to the left, which can be very inconvenient, as you I'm sure you can imagine.
-The changing station only holds them until they're < 15 lbs.
-The BIGGEST issue we have is that the changing table is very low. I'm only 5' 8'. When my son is on the changing table, he's at a level lower than my wait, but higher than my knee. I don't have a particularly bad back, but my back gets very sore changing him on this table. I just have to bend over so far. If you have a bad back and/or are tall (or even if you're not tall), this is something you should really consider. It was so bad, we ended up just buying a changing table, which was nice because then the baby is much higher, it will be good while s/he is heavier than 15 lbs, and there's much needed shelving.
Overall, this is really excellent. But if I had to do it over again, I'd get a pack n play without the changing table. Other than that, we absolutely love it.
